Police Call for Community Help on Drug Crime

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Dave Brown spoke about the case’s impact:

“This case highlights the damage drug-related harm causes in our communities and to individuals involved in drugs. This incident was particularly traumatic for Jay Sibley, who was at the time involved in drug use and supply.”

Brown added:

“Justice has been served. I hope Jay can now move on with his life. The sentences should serve as a warning to those involved in drug dealing and associated harm — we will not tolerate this.”

He urged locals to report any drug activity, saying dedicated resources are in place, but community support is vital.

If you witness drug dealing or related crime, call 101. In emergencies or if a crime is ongoing, dial 999.

The police also thanked all officers and staff involved for their hard work in securing today’s verdict.
