Red Distress Flare Sparks Major Solent Rescue Operation

Lifeboat, Helicopter & Ferry Join Rescue Effort
The Coastguard scrambled its Rescue 175 helicopter from Lee-on-Solent, using advanced FLAIR technology for an air search. Meanwhile, the Calshot lifeboat and inshore lifeboats scoured the waters below.
