Tragic Crash Near Petworth Claims Life of 83-Year-Old Driver
Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal smash on the A283 London Road, just north of Petworth. The collision happened shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, 24 September.
Four Hurt in Two-Car Collision
Two vehicles crashed head-on, leaving four people injured. An 83-year-old man behind the wheel was killed. His female passenger is seriously hurt.
The driver of the second car, a woman, also suffered serious injuries. A male passenger escaped with minor cuts and bruises.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
Sergeant Mark Farrow of Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit said: “We are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact us online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Jericho.
