Cyclist Dies After Horror Crash With Mercedes in Sunbury

A tragic collision in Sunbury has claimed the life of a cyclist. The accident happened on Sunday afternoon (12 April) at around 2:13pm at the junction of Staines Road West (A308) and Windmill Road (A244).

Man in 50s Seriously Injured After Crash

The rider, a man in his 50s, was hit by a Black Mercedes CLK Coupe. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital but sadly died the following morning (13 April).

Driver Arrested but Released Under Investigation

The Mercedes driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious injury. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
