Four Men Stabbed in Brutal Club Brawl in High Holborn

Detectives launch urgent appeal for witnesses after a violent fight outside a London nightclub leaves four men stabbed in the early hours.

Chaos Outside Club 29

At around 3am on Sunday, 2 August, chaos erupted outside Club 29 in High Holborn. Police were first alerted when two stabbing victims self-presented at a south London hospital, shortly before officers found two more injured men in a car on Clerkenwell Road with its hazards flashing.

All four suffered stab wounds after what sources say was a clash between two groups outside the club. Officers gave first aid at the scene before emergency services took the men to hospital.

Six Arrested, One Still in Hospital

Six men are now in police custody amid the stabbing probe:

  • A 23-year-old from Redbridge, arrested for attempted murder, now bailed until late August.
  • A 22-year-old from Wanstead, held for causing grievous bodily harm, bailed until early September.
  • A 27-year-old from Lewisham, arrested for attempted murder, bailed until late August.
  • A 32-year-old from Bexley, arrested for attempted murder and robbery, bailed until late August.
  • A 30-year-old from Bexley, held for attempted murder, bailed until late August.
  • A 34-year-old from Greenwich, arrested for attempted murder, remains hospitalised.

Police Plea: Witnesses and Dashcam Footage Needed

“This was a truly shocking attack on four friends who had gone out to enjoy themselves,” said Detective Constable Stephanie Latzke.

“The nightclub was busy at the time, so I’m confident someone saw something. We want to track down those responsible for this unacceptable violence.”

“If you were driving on High Holborn at that time and caught the fight on dashcam, please come forward.”
