Manhunt Underway for Walthamstow Attack Suspect
Police have released an e-fit of a man wanted in connection with the attempted rape of a woman in Walthamstow.
Late-Night Horror on Church Hill
The terrifying incident took place just before 3am on 25 July. The victim was walking home along Church Hill when a man began following her near the zebra crossing by Folkestone Road.
Brave Woman Fights Off Attacker
The man chased her towards a small park on East Avenue. A struggle broke out, during which the attacker reportedly touched her inappropriately. Fortunately, the woman fought back hard, forcing the attacker to flee the scene. She immediately contacted police.
Police Urge Locals to Help Catch Suspect
Officers from the North East Safeguarding Unit are leading the investigation. They urge anyone with information to call 101, quoting CAD 1336/25July. Tips can also be sent via Twitter to @MetCC or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
