Thief Targets Woman in Morrisons Car Park in Broad Daylight
On Saturday, 12 September at around 10:50am, a man struck in broad daylight at the Morrisons car park on Wycke Hill, Maldon. A woman was loading her shopping into her car when the man approached, pretending to ask for directions.
Pickpocket Steals Bank Cards from Car
While distracting her, the man swiped bank cards from the woman’s purse, which was sitting in her bag on the front seat of her car. The cards were quickly used to withdraw a three-figure sum of cash.
It’s believed the man was accompanied by a second man, who stood unnervingly close as the woman entered her PIN while paying for her shopping.
