Teen Girl Attacked on Oxford Bridge – Police Seek Witnesses

A teenage girl was assaulted on leys/">Blackbird Leys Bridge in Oxford, and police are hunting witnesses to the shocking attack.

Blows to the Head in Broad Daylight

The attack happened between 1pm and 2pm last Sunday (11/10). The girl, walking from Barns Road to Blackbird Leys Road, was struck multiple times on the head by a woman. She suffered minor injuries to her face and arms but didn’t need medical treatment.

Good Samaritan Steps In

A man passing by helped the victim to her feet after the assault. The attacker then fled the scene on foot.

Suspect Description and Police Appeal

  • White woman, mid-30s
  • About 5ft 4in, average build
  • Long, dark curly hair

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or caught it on dashcam to come forward,” said PC Samuel Booth from Cowley police station.

“We are especially keen to speak to the man who stopped to help the victim.”
