Party on the River Lea Gets Police Raid

Jordy Nicholas Van Duijvenbode, 31, with no fixed address, landed in hot water after hosting a huge bash on a boat. On Sunday, 14 February, he was charged with holding a gathering of more than 30 people and participating in a gathering of two or more.

Early Morning Music Hits Wrong Note

Police were alerted by multiple calls in the early hours of Saturday, 13 February. Locals reported loud music and a large crowd on a boat cruising the River Lea between Tottenham Lock and Hackney.

Busted Near Hackney Marshes

Officers swooped at around 4.20am and found the party boat docked off Hackney Marshes. Van Duijvenbode was arrested and later released on bail. He’s set to face Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 2 March.
