Paramedics and officers found Mehran seriously wounded inside his car. Despite efforts to save him, he died shortly after from a single stab wound to the heart, confirmed by a post-mortem report.

Detective’s Warning on Knife Crime

“Mehran Heydari was the victim of a brutal assault. His family is devastated and will carry the pain forever,” said Detective Sergeant Brian Jones.

“This case highlights the tragic consequences of knife crime. I urge anyone carrying knives to think hard about the damage they cause.

“Ismail Yusuf is a dangerous man and the streets are safer with him behind bars. I hope this verdict brings some justice and peace to Mehran’s family.”
