Accused Killer of PSCO Julia James to Face Trial Next May

An alleged murderer charged with killing police community support officer Julia James will go on trial in May next year, court has revealed.

Julia James, 53, was found with fatal head injuries near Akholt Wood, Snowdown, close to Dover, Kent, on April 27.

Suspect Held at Broadmoor Ahead of Trial

Callum Wheeler, 21, appeared via videolink from Broadmoor Hospital at the hearing on Tuesday. He has been detained there since June.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb remanded Wheeler to the secure unit, setting a pre-trial hearing for January 17.
