Roshane Watson and Accomplices Behind Bars

  • Roshane Watson, 25, from Edmonton, was jailed for 32 years for murder, plus 20 years for firearm possession and 4 years for perverting justice.
  • Gizem Ozbahadir, 23, of Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, received 23 years for her role in the murder.
  • Leo Donaldson, 28, from Haringey, got 18 years.
  • Terrique Tomlin, 18, from Ilford, was sentenced to 11 years.
  • Nathaniel Donaldson, 22, of Ponders End, got a suspended sentence after admitting fraud tied to hiring an Audi used in the attack.

Calculated Killing Exposed by Police Investigation

His Honour Judge Lucas slammed the murder as “in cold blood,” highlighting the calculated nature of the killing. Despite the family’s desperate wish for answers, none of the defendants showed any courage to explain their actions.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command scoured hours of CCTV footage. Watson was identified as the gunman, spotted wearing a distinctive tracksuit featured in a drill music video on YouTube, as well as CCTV footage from the day before.

The investigation revealed how the four defendants tracked Christopher in two vehicles – an Audi and a BMW – before shooting him on Sebastopol Road. Forensic evidence linked Leo and Nathaniel Donaldson to the Audi, which was later found hidden and dismantled.

Nathaniel had hired the Audi using fake ID, while Ozbahadir hired the BMW and two other cars with fraudulent documents over two months. Phone records showed Ozbahadir was in contact with Watson and Tomlin on the day of the murder.

Family and Police Respond

“Christopher was a loving son, a caring brother to his three siblings and a devoted father to his two young daughters, the youngest only three months old when he was killed,” the family said.

“Nothing will bring Christopher back, but seeing those responsible convicted brings a little comfort. We thank the police and CPS for their hard work and efforts to obtain justice. Our faith in the justice system has been restored.”

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke said: “I am pleased those responsible will spend a significant time behind bars. This gang showed significant planning and coordination, with no reason given for their attack.”

“Christopher’s family and friends face a lifetime living with the consequences of this senseless violence.”
