Police Hunt Bicycle Pervert Targeting Women in Jogging Attacks
Women out jogging or walking are being targeted by a creepy cyclist who grabs their buttocks or touches their genitals before speeding off. The suspect’s methods and description are chillingly consistent across 22 reported incidents since February.
What We Know About the Suspect
- Light-skinned male, possibly mixed race
- Between 16 and 17 years old
- Usually dressed in a grey tracksuit
- Rides a bicycle when committing the attacks
Detective Constable Hannah Rodericks from the Central East Command Unit slammed the vile assaults. “We understand this news may cause alarm,” she said. “We are doing everything possible to find and prosecute this predator.”
Police Urge More Victims to Come Forward
So far 22 women have reported the attacks, but police believe there could be many more. “It is critical he be identified, but we need the public’s help,” said DC Rodericks.
