Serious Crash on Castlewellan Road: One Critical and Two Injured
Police scrambled to the scene after a nasty crash involving a Kia Picanto, a Mini Cooper, and a Renault HGV lorry on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency Services Rush In
Inspector MacDonald revealed officers were called out at 4.15pm on 29th November. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, Air Ambulance, and Ambulance Service all joined the frantic efforts.
Three people were rushed to hospital, with one still in critical condition. The Castlewellan Road, initially shut, has now reopened to traffic.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Investigations are ongoing to crack how the collision happened. Inspector MacDonald urged, “We appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage to get in touch with police on 101, quoting reference 1313 of 29/11/22.”
