Armed Police Snatch Imitation Guns in Radford Bench Bust
Armed cops swooped on Churchfield Lane, Radford, after a gun was spotted around 3.50pm on Tuesday, 6 December.
Officers found two men sitting on a bench inside the church grounds. A quick search revealed two imitation handguns and an air rifle. Plus, one suspect was caught with suspected Class A drugs.
Two Men Arrested Over Fake Guns and Drugs
- Suspects aged 29 and 38 arrested for carrying imitation firearms in public.
- The 29-year-old also hit with a drug possession charge.
- Both released on conditional bail, but police are keeping the pressure on.
Police Warn: Don’t Mess with Imitation Firearms
“We will never hesitate to take immediate action should we receive reports a suspected firearm has been seen,” said Inspector Andrew Hallam from Nottinghamshire Police. “Imitation guns often look real, so we respond robustly to all reports. This is a clear warning to anyone carrying imitation firearms — you will end up in hot water.”
Inspector Hallam added that inquiries are ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward.
