Woman Mauled to Death by Dog in Shocking Caterham Attack

Police were called to Gravelly Hill at 2.45pm on Thursday after a terrifying dog attack left one woman dead and another injured.

Tragic Victim Dies at Scene

Officers found the first victim at the scene, where she was pronounced dead. While formal identification is pending, police have informed her next of kin.

Second Victim Injured but Stable

A second woman was rushed to hospital with dog bite wounds. Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening.

Police On High Alert

Armed officers and the National Police Air Service were deployed to apprehend the dogs involved. Chief Inspector Alan Sproston said:

“Our thoughts are with the woman who sadly died this afternoon. This incident will worry the local community, and I’d like to reassure them that we believe all involved have been found and are in police custody. Our investigation to establish the circumstances remains ongoing, and we ask the community not to speculate.”

The shocking attack has rocked Caterham and police continue to investigate the brutal mauling.
