Woman Attacked Near Underpass in Livingston – Police Hunt Suspect

An unsettling incident unfolded at an underpass on Almond Road leading to Dee Drive around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 8 March 2023.

Victim Shaken but Unharmed

The victim, walking home from school, escaped without physical injuries but was left visibly shaken by the event.

Police Description of Suspect

  • White woman, approximately 35 years old
  • Noticeable tan and slim build
  • Brown eyes and prominent cheekbones
  • Wore a dark jacket with a fur-lined hood
  • Spoke with a Scottish accent

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander of Livingston CID commented:

“This was a very distressing incident for the victim, who had been walking home from school at the time of the attack. Thankfully she was not injured as a result.”

He added:

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the Craigshill area around the time of the incident and either witnessed what happened or believes they may have seen the woman involved, to please come forward.”
