Weapons Seized After Police Raid
Police scrambled to Elson Lane at 3.25pm on Sunday, 26 March after reports of a violent scrap involving a group of teenagers. Officers found the group allegedly packing imitation weapons, sparking a swift response.
Four suspects were arrested after police sealed off an address. Searches turned up several air weapons, Airsoft gear, a knife, and hammers — a worrying arsenal for kids aged just 14 to 16.
Four Teens in Custody
The arrested are a 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy. All face charges of possessing imitation firearms with intent to cause fear of violence. They remain held in custody as inquiries continue.

Further Police Action on the Streets
While handling the raid, officers also stopped and searched three other teenagers aged 14 and 15 in the area. Based on police intelligence, these youths were ordered to leave under a dispersal order authorized by the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
This dispersal power remains in effect until 4.40pm on Tuesday, 28 March. Anyone caught defying the ban risks arrest for committing a criminal offence.
