Disaster struck at 10:10am this Saturday on High Road, South Woodford, when a car crashed straight into a building. Emergency services, including the Met Police, London Ambulance Service, and the Air Ambulance, raced to the scene.

A local dog-walker, Claire Summers, witnessed emergency crews attempting life-saving CPR. She said: “As emergency services arrived, I was walking my dog on the other side of the road. Unfortunately, I believe the driver did not survive. CPR and chest compressions were being administered.”
