Nottingham Police Nab Trio in Major Drug Bust
A routine patrol in Radford turned into a major drug crackdown after officers spotted a suspicious driver in Nottingham.
Suspicious Driver Leads Police to Drug Deals
Officers tailed the vehicle to Herbert Road, Forest Fields, where they witnessed multiple suspected drug deals from the car. A lone cop kept tabs on the vehicle as it moved to Westville Gardens, St Ann’s, where the full team swooped in to stop it.
Drugs, Cash, Phones and a Knuckleduster Seized
A search of the car uncovered wraps of suspected Class A drugs, several phones, and stacks of cash. The driver was detained at around 11am on Tuesday 18 April.
Police then got a warrant and raided a house on Jensen Way, St Ann’s, finding items linked to the processing and supply of Class A drugs, plus large quantities of cannabis.
Further raids at two more homes in Bulwell and St Ann’s uncovered a knuckleduster, more phones, and additional cash.
Three Arrested in Connection with Drug Supply
- A 43-year-old man was arrested for suspected involvement in supplying Class A and B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, and handling criminal property.
- A 27-year-old woman faces charges over Class A drug supply and possession of criminal property.
- A 48-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, plus possession of criminal property.
“This triple arrest shows the impact of our daily patrols in catching criminals,” said Sergeant Matt Daley, of Nottinghamshire Police’s city knife crime team. “By chasing that initial lead, we seized a large stash of drugs, uncovered evidence of supply, and arrested three suspects.”
“While our main goal is to deter knife crime, tackling drug activity is a crucial part of our job.”
