Deadly Collision on Sevenoaks Way
The tragedy unfolded at around 3.30pm on October 9 as Tafari rode his moped along Sevenoaks Way in St Paul’s Cray. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but he died instantly from his injuries.

Met Police detectives from the Specialist Crime Command revealed the moped was deliberately hit by a red Mercedes. The impact forced Tafari into the path of an orange Vauxhall Mokka.
Shockingly, the Mercedes driver fled the scene, abandoning the car nearby. Meanwhile, the Mokka driver stopped and was treated for shock.
Police Urge Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe said: “Our thoughts are with Tafari’s family at this difficult time. We are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage from Sevenoaks Way on October 9 to come forward.”
Officers have already spoken to several witnesses but need more information. Drivers in the area that afternoon are urged to check dashcams for any sign of the red Mercedes or Tafari’s moped.
