Young Drug Dealer Nabbed After Daring E-Scooter Escape in Tamworth
21-Year-Old Kye Bell Caught Red-Handed
Kye Bell, 21, from Tamworth, has been sentenced at Stafford Crown Court for possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. The verdict came after a four-day trial in August 2023, with sentencing on 24 October 2023.
Police Chase Ends Drug Deal on Cycle Path
Officers spotted Bell on a cycle path near Pennine Way conducting a hand-to-hand drug deal. He made a quick getaway on an e-scooter but was soon found again by a nearby vehicle. After a brief attempt to flee, Bell was finally arrested in June 2021 following a stop and search.
Detective Sergeant Sends Strong Warning
“It’s pleasing to see another dealer off our streets,” said Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury.
“The damaging impact of drugs on individuals and communities is well known. That’s why taking down suppliers like Bell is a top priority.”
“I hope this sentence reassures Staffordshire residents that we’re committed to cracking down on drugs and drug dealers.”
