Police Hunt Knife-Wielding Stalker in Clapham After Uber Driver Stabbed

Met detectives have released fresh images of a man linked to a series of terrifying attacks in south London. The suspect is wanted over incidents involving women being followed and an Uber driver stabbed in the chest.

Women Targeted in Separate Attacks

  • First attack: Early hours of 17 November on Sisters Avenue, SW11. A woman spotted a man trailing her closely. When she raised the alarm, the knife-wielding suspect fled.
  • Second attack: Around 1:40am on 19 November, Sumburgh Road, SW12. The same man tried to grab another woman, but she escaped unharmed.

Uber Driver Stabbed in Broad Daylight

On 23 November, just past midnight on Nightingale Lane, Clapham, an Uber driver was stabbed twice in the chest. Miraculously, his injuries are not life-threatening, and he has since been discharged from hospital.

Cops Chase Suspect Twice But He Escapes

Later that night at 2:50am, officers spotted the suspect near Holy Trinity Church on Clapham Common. A pursuit followed, but he outran them towards Clapham Common West Side. Then at 4:45am, the man was seen again—this time on a red bike. Another chase ended with him slipping away at the St John’s Road and Aliwal Road junction.

Stay Alert but Don’t Approach

The suspect is described as:

  • White male, aged 25 to 30
  • Slim build
  • Short blond hair

Police warn the public not to confront him but to call 999 immediately if seen.

“We are very concerned about the risk he poses,” said Detective Superintendent Dan O’Sullivan from the South West Command Unit. “Anyone with info, no matter how small, should come forward. We guarantee anonymity.”

“We understand community worries and will be boosting patrols at key times.”
