Woman Seriously Burned in Suspected Arson Fire in Hanley
Staffordshire Police are hunting for clues after a brutal house fire on Eagle Street, Hanley, this morning. The blaze broke out around 11:15am, prompting firefighters to storm the scene and rescue a woman trapped inside. She was rushed to hospital with serious burns.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Arson
Detectives treating the fire as deliberate have launched a full investigation. A 47-year-old Stoke-on-Trent man was arrested and is now in custody for questioning over the suspected arson.
Road Closures and Public Appeal
Emergency crews have closed Eagle Street and Uplands New Road to tackle the incident and aid the probe. Officers are urging locals to stay clear and cooperate fully during the disruption.
