Elijah Ofereh-Mugbeh, 26, was slammed with an eight-year prison sentence for raping a 12-year-old girl he met on a hook-up app in 2018. The sickening crime involved him filming the assault to watch later on FaceTime.
Shock claims dismissed at Bristol Crown Court
During his trial at Bristol Crown Court, Ofereh-Mugbeh claimed he thought the girl was 18. Judge Philip Shorrock shredded his defence, saying anyone spending time with the victim would know she was much younger.
Victim’s age and resistance ignored
- Ofereh-Mugbeh, from Whitcher Close, Deptford, was convicted of three counts of raping a child under 13.
- He met the victim via a sex hook-up app and took her virginity after meeting at a train station.
