Teen Chase Ends in Fiery Crash on Crooked Billet Roundabout
A high-speed police chase in North London ended in chaos on Monday, November 4. Two teenagers are now in hospital after a multi-vehicle smash sparked a blaze at the Crooked Billet roundabout in Walthamstow.

The drama kicked off at 2:47pm when a car tried to flee police near Cooks Ferry roundabout, E4. Just 11 minutes later, the vehicle collided with a moped rider, then crashed into another car at the Crooked Billet roundabout.
The collision caused one vehicle to burst into flames, quickly drawing London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service, and the city’s Air Ambulance to the scene.
Casualties and Emergency Response
- The moped rider suffered minor injuries.
- The pursued car’s driver and passenger — both teenagers — were rushed to hospital. Their conditions remain undisclosed.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters were mobilised to a vehicle alight on Crooked Billet Roundabout in Walthamstow. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, with one currently on fire. Three fire engines and a Fire Rescue Unit from Tottenham, Edmonton, and Enfield are attending.”
The London Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 2:59pm following reports of a traffic collision at the junction of Chingford Road and Billet Road, Chingford. Our crews are assisting emergency partners.”

Road closures remain as police investigate the crash. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as emergency services work to clear the scene.
