Teen Brawl in Elm Park Sparks Knife Chaos and Police Attacks
Violent Clash Erupts on Saturday Night
A huge fight involving teenagers exploded in Elm Park late Saturday (March 22), ending with three arrests for assaulting emergency workers and two young lads rushed to hospital with suspected knife wounds.
Police raced to Calbourne Avenue just after 9pm after reports of a disturbance. But when officers tried to step in, things quickly turned ugly.
Officers Attacked While Trying to Break Up Fight
A Met Police spokesperson revealed:
“When officers attempted to engage with those involved, a number of individuals became aggressive towards them.”
Three teens were nabbed on the spot for assaulting emergency workers and taken to an east London police station. They were bailed later that night but must return for questioning today (March 23).
Thankfully, the officers only suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service—no hospital needed.
Two Teenagers Hospitalised with Knife Injuries
A 16-year-old and a 19-year-old male were found with suspected knife wounds and taken to hospital. Luckily, their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Both boys are cooperating with police as the investigation continues.
Chaos Captured on Camera
Shocking footage obtained by The Recorder shows dozens of teenagers screaming and fleeing from a local sports hall moments after the brawl began.
The video has sparked fresh fears over escalating youth violence and anti-social behaviour in the area.
Police Hunt for Witnesses
The Met confirmed an investigation is ongoing. A spokesperson urged:
“An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.”
Police want anyone with information, photos, or videos to come forward.
