11-Year-Old Girl Falls Into River Thames – Major Rescue Operation Underway

Emergency services launched a frantic search after an 11-year-old girl plunged into the River Thames near Woolwich on Monday afternoon. The dramatic incident happened just after 2pm when the child fell into the water, and her mother bravely jumped in trying to save her.

A huge operation is currently underway with the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, Coast Guard, Border Force vessels, and multiple search and rescue teams all mobilised. A search and rescue helicopter is also scouring the area from above.
