Man Arrested After Brutal Westdale Lane Stabbing
A 45-year-old man has been arrested following a savage stabbing outside a shop on Westdale Lane, Gedling. The victim, a man in his thirties, was left seriously injured in the attack.

The suspect was nabbed at 2.39pm on Wednesday, 7th May 2025, in Nottingham’s Bakersfield area. Police launched a high-speed manhunt after the stabbing shocked the local community late Tuesday night.
Victim in Hospital as Police Probe Deepens
The injured man remains in hospital with serious wounds. Detectives continue combing through evidence to piece together how the brutal attack unfolded.
“This was a shocking incident and our thoughts this afternoon remain with the victim and his family,” said Superintendent James Woolley of Nottinghamshire Police. “Multiple officers have worked tirelessly to bring this man into custody and I am grateful for their efforts. Our investigation into what happened will now continue but we are not looking for any other suspects.”

A police cordon is still in place on Westdale Lane as investigations continue. Officers are hunting for more clues to bring justice for the victim.
