A 48-year-old man was viciously dragged from his mobility scooter and violently attacked on Deepdale Road around 6.30pm on Thursday, April 18. The group of assailants, who reportedly arrived in a black BMW, knocked the victim unconscious in a shocking street attack.

Police Hunt for BMW Gang After Horrific Attack
Cleveland Police are urgently asking for witnesses, appealing for CCTV, doorbell cam, or dashcam footage from the area at the time. Officers believe crucial evidence could lead to identifying the violent gang and bringing them to justice.
“This was a violent and senseless attack on a vulnerable man. While the cause of death is unrelated, we remain committed to bringing those responsible for the assault to justice,” said a police spokesperson.
Rising Crime Fears Grip Middlesbrough Community
The assault adds to growing worries about violence in Middlesbrough, recently labelled one of the UK’s most dangerous areas, with 128.5 offences per 1,000 residents.
Locals fear gangs running rampant. Carer David Liddell, 58, voiced his concerns:
“The crime figures don’t surprise me. We’ve had nothing but trouble around here.”
