Firefighters Rescue Dog from Southampton House Blaze

Fire crews from Hightown station sprang into action at 5.39pm on Wednesday after reports of smoke and flames at a home on Lamberhurst Close, Southampton.

Neighbour’s Quick Thinking Saves the Day

A concerned neighbour spotted smoke pouring from the property and immediately called emergency services. Firefighters found a dog trapped inside and rushed to rescue the terrified pet.

Pan Left on Stove Sparks Kitchen Fire

The small fire was caused by a single pan left unattended on the ground floor kitchen stove. Crews quickly extinguished the blaze using one Hose Reel Jet, one Main Jet, and two crew members wearing breathing apparatus.

They also deployed a Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) fan to clear the smoke from the house.

Happy Ending for Pup and Owner

Hightown Fire Station tweeted: “One dog rescued from the fire and reunited with a very relieved owner!” A close call with a lucky escape thanks to sharp-eyed neighbours and swift firefighters.
