Masked Mob Threaten Family Before Fleeing Empty-handed
Just before dawn on Thursday, 1 April, eight armed men burst into a residential property on Brookscroft Road. Wielding machetes, they threatened the four occupants and demanded valuables. But the victims fought back, forcing the attackers to flee without a single item.
Victims Hospitalised After Scuffle
During the violent struggle, two residents suffered minor injuries. Both were rushed to hospital but have since been discharged.
Police Link Raid to Nightclub Burglary in Essex
Officers swooped on the scene, conducting forensic tests and reviewing CCTV footage. Statements from the victims were taken. As investigations unfolded, detectives discovered a related aggravated burglary at a nightclub in Clacton-on-Sea on the same night.
The Met Police have now taken charge of both cases.
Police Appeal for Public Help: Identify These Men
PC David Havard of Waltham Forest’s burglary and robbery team said:
“This was a terrifying experience for the family involved and we are committed to tracking down those who carried out this awful crime. As part of our enquiries, we can now share images of three men we want to speak to. If you recognise them, contact police immediately.”
