Firefighters race against the clock as a fierce fire engulfs 600 square metres of Studland Heath. Crews from Swanage, Wareham, and beyond are battling the rapidly spreading blaze.

Firefighters Strive to Protect Homes
“We received a call at 8.26pm this evening from a member of the public who could see a lot of smoke coming from Studland Heath,” said a Wiltshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson. “Approximately 600 square metres of heathland is well alight, and our crews are working hard to put in a fire break to protect neighbouring properties.”
More firefighters are en route to tackle the blaze and prevent further damage. Residents urged to stay alert and follow safety instructions.
