Bradley Gledhill’s Killers Get Longer Sentences After Court of Appeal Ruling
The Court of Appeal has upped the minimum terms for six men jailed over the murder of Bradley Gledhill in Batley, pushing their combined sentences from 81 to a staggering 109 years.
Justice for Bradley and His Friends
Bradley was killed in a brutal attack on Park Croft, Batley, back in June 2020. Two of his friends were also seriously injured in the same incident. The six men were originally locked up at Leeds Crown Court in July 2021.
Sentences Significantly Increased
Today (Monday, December 6), the Court of Appeal handed down tougher minimum terms:
- Usman Karolia (21), Lime Tree Avenue, Batley: Increased from 21 to 27 years
- Ahmed Karolia (24), Lime Tree Avenue, Batley: Increased from 16 to 21 years
- Nabeel Naseer (19), Gordale Close, Dewsbury: Increased from 11 to 16 years
- Raja Nawaz (19), Longfield Road, Heckmondwike: Increased from 12 to 16 years
- Irfan Hussain (18), Church Walk, Batley: Increased from 11 to 16 years
- Nikash Hussain (18), Low Road, Dewsbury: Increased from 10 to 13 years
Homicide Team Welcomes Tougher Sentences
The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team praised the decision, saying the higher terms better reflect the severity of the crime and the impact on Bradley’s family and friends.
