A 28-year-old man from Louth has been sentenced to 18 months in prison following a brutal assault on a woman in her 20s earlier this year. The East Lindsey Response Investigation Team (RIT) successfully solved the case after reports of the attack were received.
The assault occurred during the early hours of February 16 into February 17, when police were called after the victim was punched multiple times. The woman sustained several bruises as a result of the attack.
East Lindsey RIT launched a prompt investigation, collecting crucial evidence and pursuing every lead to identify the perpetrator.
Charlie Bradbury, of Burghley Crescent, Louth, was identified, arrested, and charged with Actual Bodily Harm (ABH). This week, at Lincoln Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 18 months in jail. Additionally, Bradbury was issued a five-year restraining order.
Detective Inspector Mike Wilding commented on the case, stating, “Offences of this nature are wholly unacceptable. We are committed to tackling violence and domestic abuse. Our RIT division plays a vital role in gathering evidence to bring offenders to justice, helping to protect everyone who lives, works, and visits our county.”
