Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Johnson from 1 District spoke about the case, saying, “We know how concerning incidents like this can be for those who live and work in the area. Since the incident was reported, we have made significant headway, apprehending five men in relation to the discharge. While it’s fortunate that no one was injured, the use of firearms on our streets is completely unacceptable.”
The police investigation continues as authorities commit to tackling gun violence and ensuring the safety of Salford residents. Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to help combat violent crime in the area.
