Metropolitan Police officers were involved in a crash on London’s busy A5 Shoot-Up Hill in Willesden tonight. Thankfully, none of the officers suffered serious injuries.

The collision occurred between Walm Lane and Mill Lane, leading emergency services to close the A5 in both directions. Fire crews attended the scene to secure the area and clear hazardous spills caused by the crash.

The road remains closed as officers conduct investigations and recovery work, causing significant traffic disruptions. Drivers are being advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.

Details about other vehicles involved or the cause of the collision have not yet been released. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated: “Our officers are receiving appropriate medical checks following the collision, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident.”

Authorities are appealing for witnesses who saw the crash or have dashcam footage to come forward. Anyone with information can contact the Metropolitan Police on 101.

Updates will be provided as investigations continue, with the A5 expected to reopen possibly by tomorrow morning.
