The A249 is shut both ways near Queenborough as National Highways crews work urgently to repair a damaged culvert. The full closure affects the stretch between the A250 and B2007.

Major diversions are in place for drivers. Northbound drivers should leave the A249 at the Brielle Way/Main Road junction, then head west along the B2007 Main Road through Queenborough. At the Cromwell Road roundabout, drivers can rejoin the A249.

Southbound drivers are advised to follow the northbound diversion route in reverse.

Motorists are urged to expect delays, allow extra travel time, seek alternative routes, or postpone their trips if possible.
