At around 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023, a shocking sexual assault occurred in an alleyway off Bestwood Park Drive, near the Brownlow Drive junction in Rise Park. Nottinghamshire Police have responded by increasing their patrols in the area as the investigation continues.

Detective Inspector Craig Hall of Nottinghamshire Police stated, “Incidents like this are incredibly rare but deeply concerning for the public. We have a large team dedicated to this investigation and are doing everything possible to find the person responsible.” Special officers are offering support to the girl involved and her family during this difficult time, while additional police presence aims to reassure local residents.

The police are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour near the alleyway or who may have captured relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward immediately. DI Hall emphasized, “Speak to our officers if you have concerns or information. Please report anything out of the ordinary and help us keep the community safe.”
