The Broxtowe Operation Reacher team, supported by neighbourhood police, carried out a major anti-drugs raid on a property in Manor Road, Eastwood. Officers searched a man and two women, thoroughly inspecting every room for illegal substances and related items.
The operation, which took place on Tuesday 13 December 2022, resulted in the seizure of hundreds of pounds in cash, multiple mobile phones, and a quantity of cannabis. Despite the significant find, no arrests were made at the scene. Police have confirmed that further investigations are ongoing.
Sergeant Andy Foulds of Broxtowe Operation Reacher commented on the operation, stating, “We remain determined to do all we can to disrupt drug supply and criminal activity which blights our communities and harms vulnerable people. Drug dealing often funds serious organised crime and exploits vulnerable members of society. We have a duty to protect them. We’ll keep using every power we have to root out dealers, keep our streets safe, and bring offenders to justice.”
Police are urging the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity related to drug crime. Residents can contact Nottinghamshire Police by calling 101, or 999 in emergencies. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
Community involvement is considered crucial in the ongoing fight against drug-related crime in the region.
