In the early hours of Saturday, 23 July, a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted twice in Dulwich Village during a single night bus journey.

The first attack occurred around 2am at a bus stop on Lordship Lane. The same man then followed the woman onto a number 12 bus and assaulted her again during the ride.

The woman reported the incident to police the following day, showing bravery in coming forward.

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find the attacker. CCTV footage shows a man boarding the bus. He is described as a Black male, approximately 5ft 8in tall, with an Afro hairstyle. He was wearing a dark hoodie with rainbow-coloured writing on the front.

Anyone who recognises this man or has information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 3536/09Nov. To remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The police appeal highlights the importance of community help in bringing the suspect to justice and keeping local streets safe.
