Portsmouth police are investigating after a man was found seriously injured in Paulsgrove early on Saturday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a stolen vehicle on Tunstall Road at 8.20am. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim in a garden suffering from severe injuries to his leg, head, and face.

The man was immediately taken to hospital and is currently in a stable condition.

Following the incident, a 38-year-old man and two women aged 43 and 42, all from Portsmouth, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in police custody as inquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone who was near Tunstall Road around 8.20am or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or Ring Doorbell footage to come forward.

Officers will be patrolling the area today and ask locals to provide any information that could assist the investigation.
