Kieran Hutchinson, 31, of Abbatt Close, Ludgershall, has been sentenced to four years and ten months in prison following a brutal stabbing incident on August 25, 2024. The attack occurred after Hutchinson stormed his ex-partner’s home on Taylor Crescent following a heated argument.

According to police reports, Hutchinson smashed a paving slab through the front door, causing significant damage before violently attacking his ex-partner’s boyfriend, a man in his 40s. The situation escalated when Hutchinson armed himself with multiple knives inside the property and launched a savage assault. The victim sustained serious wounds to his arm and hand, requiring emergency hospital treatment.

After the attack, Hutchinson fled the scene but was apprehended days later following a police wanted appeal.

At Winchester Crown Court on January 17, Hutchinson pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a bladed article in public, and criminal damage. He was sentenced to four years and ten months imprisonment, with an additional four-year extended licence period upon release.

Detective Sergeant Toni Nugent from South CID condemned the attack, stating, “Hutchinson went to his ex-partner’s property intending to cause serious harm. After an altercation outside, he went inside to find weapons to attack her partner. His actions were utterly unacceptable. Thankfully, the victim’s injuries were not worse. We take all knife crime seriously and will ensure offenders face justice.”

Wiltshire Police have reiterated their commitment to tackling knife crime and urged the community to report any suspicious weapon-related activity. This sentencing serves as a clear warning that violent crimes involving weapons carry severe prison terms.
