Detectives are actively hunting a knife-wielding teenager who threatened an 11-year-old boy during a robbery attempt in Swindon.
The incident occurred just after 4.20pm on November 12, when the young boy was approached on a path in Tovey Road Park, Pinehurst. A stranger demanded the boy’s phone and pulled a knife when the boy refused to comply.
Fortunately, the child escaped the encounter unharmed and did not hand over any property.
Wiltshire Police have provided a description of the suspect and are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate him. The suspect is described as a black male, aged between 16 and 17, with an Afro hairstyle. He was wearing a grey tracksuit, a grey coat with a fluffy hood, and black Nike trainers at the time of the incident.
Police urge anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or recognises the suspect to come forward with information.
