A man was found dead early on 30 November outside a property on Longford Road, Cannock, leading to a significant police investigation.
Staffordshire Police were called to the scene at around 4:30am. Paramedics attended and attempted CPR, but the man was sadly pronounced dead shortly after their efforts.
A police spokesperson said, “We are keeping an open mind about this incident. The circumstances leading to the death are currently unknown.”
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Additional officers are patrolling the Longford Road area today to reassure local residents and to gather any information that may assist the investigation.
Police are urgently asking anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has dashcam or doorbell footage from the past eight hours to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 110 of 30 November. Reports can also be made anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
