Emergency services responded to a serious house fire on Park Avenue, Northfleet, at around 8am on Tuesday, July 29. Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) deployed four fire engines to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used main and hose reel jets to control the flames. Six people were treated at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) paramedics.
One of the injured was airlifted by Kent Air Ambulance to hospital for urgent medical care. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
A KFRS spokesperson said: “Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control and supported our partner agencies on scene. Fire investigators are now working to determine the cause of the blaze.”
The KFRS Volunteer Response Team also assisted those affected by the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations continue.
