A high-speed collision involving a McLaren has left one person seriously injured and rushed to hospital on the A2 near Gravesend.
The crash occurred around 9:30am on January 16, close to Watling Street on the busy London-bound A2. Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) responded quickly after reports of a two-vehicle collision, with one car confirmed as a McLaren sports model.
A SECAmb spokesman said: “We were called at approximately 9.35am following a RTC involving two vehicles near Watling Street for Gravesend. Multiple crews treated three patients. One was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for further treatment, while two others were discharged at the scene.”
The crash caused major tailbacks, with queues stretching all the way to the M2. The A2 was partially blocked for almost an hour, causing widespread traffic chaos during the morning commute.
All lanes reopened by 10:30am, easing hold-ups shortly after. Eyewitnesses described long queues and crawl-like traffic as emergency crews worked swiftly to clear the wreckage.
More updates will follow as they become available.
