The A20 between Ditton and Larkfield is completely closed in both directions following a collision involving two vehicles.
A Kent Fire and Rescue crew is on the scene using cutting gear to extricate a woman trapped in one of the cars. Thankfully, her injuries are not believed to be serious.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service have also arrived to provide medical support.
The crash has caused heavy hold-ups, with long queues forming in both directions. Drivers are advised to find alternative routes while the emergency services work to clear the scene.
