Ben Wazabanga, aged 23, has been found guilty of the murder of 26-year-old Ayowale Aladejana in New Cross. The verdict was delivered on Thursday, 11 June, by a jury at Southwark Crown Court after a thorough investigation.

The police investigation included analysis of CCTV footage and mobile phone data, which linked the killing to a financial dispute between the two former business partners.

The tension over money between Wazabanga and Aladejana escalated into violence. Evidence showed that Wazabanga armed himself with a knife before carrying out the fatal attack.

Authorities collected extensive CCTV recordings and examined mobile phone records, which helped build a strong case demonstrating premeditation by Wazabanga.

Ben Wazabanga is scheduled to be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, 13 July.
