Dyfed-Powys Police, ambulance, and fire crews are currently on scene following a bus collision that forced the closure of the A484 in Kidwelly on 23 June. The incident was first reported at 12.20pm.

All passengers on the bus were safely evacuated and are now receiving medical attention. Emergency services confirmed that every passenger was removed from the vehicle without further incident.

The A484 remains closed between the Parc y Bocs roundabout and Llandyfaelog, causing significant travel disruption in the area. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes while emergency teams continue their investigation and work to clear the scene.

A rest centre has been opened at the John Burns Centre to provide support and welfare assistance to those affected by the collision.

Police have also issued heat safety advice to motorists caught in traffic jams, urging them to stay hydrated and take precautions due to the current warm weather conditions.

Hywel Dda Health Board has alerted local emergency departments to expect increased demand and longer waiting times as hospitals triage patients resulting from the collision.
